The Red Arrows is the public face of the Royal Air Force, where many of its members are today serving our country on operational, peacekeeping and humanitarian deployments. Since the formation of the Team in 1965, the Red Arrows have flown over 4,000 displays in 52 countries. The Team is renowned throughout the world, acting as ambassadors for Great Britain when displaying overseas. They also support UK industry by demonstrating the capabilities of British equipment and expertise. The Team is also involved with youth and charitable organisations where Team members pass on their ethos of Excellence to young people and provide tangible assistance to those in need. The worldwide reputation of the Red Arrows does much to bring credit, not only to the Royal Air Force, but also to our nation and its industries and today they are regarded by many as a Great British Institution.
The Red Arrows Merchandise Company was established in 1998 to support the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, Red Arrows with officially approved merchandise. Since October 2007, our complete range of gifts, souvenirs and leisurewear has been approved by the Team themselves and the logo we carry on our products are Registered Trade Marks of the Secretary of State for Defence and are used under Licence. A percentage of all our sales is donated to the Red Arrows Trust who in turn subscribe to many local and national charities, which in the past have included the NSPCC, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Talking Book for the Blind and most recently the Macmillan Cancer Appeal.
